WANNATE^®CDMDI-100L is carbodiimide modified MDI. It is a yellow liquid at ambient temperatures.

Application

WANNATE^®CDMDI-100L is carbodiimide-uretonimine-modified 4,4’-diphenylmethane diisocyanate. It is a pale yellow liquid at room temperatures. WANNATE^® CDMDI-100L is mainly used in the production of high-performance cellular PU elastomer and flexible PU integral skin foam which include shoe soles, airless tires, automobile bumpers, splashboard, shock dampers, spoilers, steering wheels, seat head-rests, arm rests, etc. It is also widely used in the production of adhesives, coatings and prepolymers.

Storage

Since WANNATE^®CDMDI-100L is a reactive chemical, reaction with atmospheric moisture happens easily and leads to the formation of insoluble urea and carbon dioxide gas, which can result in pressure build-up in closed containers and viscosity increase of the product. Containers must therefore be absolutely dry and carefully sealed after congested with nitrogen. Containers of WANNATE^®CDMDI-100L should be kept properly closed and stored indoors at ambient temperatures (20-30℃) in a well-ventilated area. Storage at low temperatures (below 15℃) may lead to some crystallization; this material must, therefore, be protected from frost. If crystallization does occur, the material should be heated to 70-80℃to melt it out, and should then be thoroughly agitated before use.

Shelf Life

Under recommended storage conditions, the shelf life of WANNATE^®CDMDI-100L is 6 months since the date of production.
